The Moloney clan has many interesting projects underway (for which much help is needed - so don't hesitate to volunteer by emailing any of the committee!!) including the rebuilding of the famous Bishop Moloney's Table (also called The King Louis Table), the production of a definitive history and the production of a Moloney Musical Album. See projects for more details.

Welcome to Moloney Clan Home Page

The Moloney Clan brings together all people worldwide connected to a Moloney by descent or by marriage. While most members will likely be of the Moloney surname or one of the equivalent variants (Maloney, Molony, Malowney, etc) all others connected to or descended from a Moloney are just as welcome to membership as those of the name.

Moloney Coat of ArmsThe Moloney Coat of Arms and crest originates in ancient history but a fine example is visible on the burial vault of the Moloneys of Kiltannon in Tulla Church of Ireland graveyard. Further details on coat of arms here.

Moloney families worldwide

Of course the Moloneys are not only in Ireland anymore but are spread throughout the world. Indeed there are probably more Moloneys residing outside of Ireland than within the country nowadays. You can visit many websites of Moloney Families worldwide here and investigate their genealogy and family history.

Moloney Ancestral Home

Kiltannon, Co. Clare is the ancestral home of the Moloneys and it is widely believed that Kiltannon House was built on the site of the ancient seat of the Moloney Clan. This house (pictured) was burnt down on Sept 15th, 1920 during the 'troubles' along with 'The King's Table', a notable Moloney family heirloom.
