Games year 3 project presentation

Tuesday 11th, 11:15 pm to 1pm

Presentation in power point (or similar). Should be pre-installed on the lecturer's PC in D422. File name should include names of all team members.

Requirements

• Limit presentation to 6 minutes + questions etc
• All team members need to present
• Overview of game concept
• Review of phase one & two
  • Major Challenges
  • Unresolved issues
  • Successes
• Include video (edited) showing current gameplay, max 1 minute
• Phase 3
  • What needs to be done
  • Likely problems
  • Realistically how much will get done?

Problems with the delivery;

Having watched students give presentations in the past, we have noticed few common problems which we have listed below. Please rehearse your presentation beforehand and try to eliminate these problems.

1. mumbling or speaking too low
2. hands in pocketstalking to the screen instead of to the audience
3. presentation not rehearsed
4. use of foul language
5. poor spelling, bad grammar, use of Spurious uppercase Characters
6. video not tested on data projector (images too dark)
7. chewing gum

Problems with content;

1. very shallow overview
2. too much time spend speaking about game play & game assets
3. not enough specifics about problems/challenges
4. not enough detail about work completed/work to do
5. better analysis needed of how much can be done in the remaining time
