Description

Being a non-professional carer (e.g. a son, a mother) is not easy task: one has to juggle their own personal life while looking after the needs of someone else. Increasingly the care of many people is shared among many in the community: family members, friends, neighbors, professionals… Thus the coordination of the care can be problematic.

This application is used to help carers in coordinating their activities easily. For example a daughter of an older person being looked after twice a week will be using this app and will create a profile for the person with all the information such as conditions, medications, medical measurements, appointments, which will be synchronized with the cloud. The app provides mechanisms to upload the user’s data to a custom, cloud-based server which allows other users such as doctors or family members to see current medication of the patient, forthcoming appointments or even simple medical measurements (such blood pressure, blood sugar levels).
